Bank of Baroda bags Dalal Street- DSIJ PSU Award

Bank of Baroda has been awarded with prestigious Dalal Street- DSIJ PSU Award. The award was received by Shri. M.D. Mallya, Chairman & Managing Director of the Bank from Hon’ble Union Minister of steel Shri. Virbhadra Singh and Shri Arun Maira, Member, Planning Commission, Govt. of India at a function held at New Delhi.

 

 

 

 Bank of Baroda receives Skoch Challenger Award

CMD Shri M.D. Mallya is seen receiving the Skoch Challenger Award from Dr. C. Rangarajan, Hon’ble Chairman, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister.

Bank of Baroda has been awarded with the prestigious Skoch Challenger Award. The award was received by Shri. M.D. Mallya, Chairman & Managing Director of the Bank from Dr. C. Rangarajan, Hon’ble Chairman Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister at a function held at New Delhi. The award has been given for the Bank’s contribution towards agriculture and rural development and its aim to serve the common man achieving 100% financial inclusion in 21 of 44 districts where it is the lead bank. The Bank has adopted 101 villages for integrated development. Baroda Grameen Paramarsh Kendras, an initiative to help the rural community by providing rural counselling, financial literacy and other services, are now operational in 52 centres.

 


 Bank of Baroda bags four Awards of ABCI for the year 2009

Association of Business Communicators of India gives awards every year in various categories of Business Communication. Bank of Baroda got the Gold Trophy for the Indian Language Publication, Silver Trophy for the Corporate Website of the Bank, Bronze trophy for Bilingual Internal Magazine and CMD’s message. The Awards were received by Smt. Vindhya Ramesh, Dy. General Manager along with team members in an award function held in Mumbai.

 Bank of Baroda receives “Bank of the year” Award

Bank of Baroda has been conferred “Bank of the year” Award at India Leadership Conclave held in Delhi. The Award was received by Shri M.D. Mallya, Chairman & Managing Director of the Bank at the hands of Shri. Jaipal Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister for Urban Development in the presence of over 200 CEOs and other dignitaries present on the occasion.

Leadership Conclave was organized by Wockhardt Foundation, an NGO which also confers awards recognizing the services rendered by the Banks and other corporate entities to the society. The Award signifies outstanding performance of the Bank during the year 2008-09 and its imprint in the society as a service organization.

 


 Bank awarded for its "Global Business Development"
Bank has won award for the leading Public Sector Bank in “Global Business Development” category at the Dun & Bradstreet Banking Awards 2009, held in Mumbai, on wednesday 18th February 2009.  

 Mookerjee gets The Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhawana Award.
Mr. Dipankar Mookerjee, General Manager (HR & Marketing) and Chief Brand Custodian of Bank of Baroda was awarded The Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhawana Award for the year 2008 for his outstanding performance and best services in Banking Sector in the area of Marketing. The Award was given by The Rajiv Gandhi Forum, Orissa, affiliated to The Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, New Delhi.

Mr. Mookerjee also successfully led the rebranding exercise of Bank of Baroda, the first such effort by any PSU bank in the country.

General Manager along with team members in an award function held in Mumbai on 7th November 2008.

 Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr Anil K. Khandelwal, CMD, Bank of Baroda
Dr. Anil K. Khandelwal, Chairman and Managing Director, Bank of Baroda was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the field of Human Resources Management by the Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD) at its Western Regional Conference held at Baroda on 4th of January' 2008.

Mr. Dipankar Mookerjee, General Manager (HR & Mktg.) of Bank of Baroda received the award on behalf of Dr. Khandelwal at the hands of Her Highness Mrinalini Devi Puar, Chancellor of M.S. University, Vadodara.

Dr. Khandelwal is an eminent banker with a large part of his experience devoted to handling Human Resources Development issues of Banks and Bank employees. He is a multi-awarded personality and has received many awards like Best HRD Chief from National HRD Network (India), the Grid Leadership Award for Excellence in Corporate Management, AMITY Leadership Award for Sectoral excellence in Banking by Amity Business School, Award for Change management by SKOCH, etc. to name a few. The Economic Times has listed him in its list of "100 Most Powerful CEOs in India" for successive two years.
 

 Bank of Baroda is adjudged one of the top 10 Marketers
According to Business Today Survey -Oct 21,2007 edition,Bank of Baroda is adjudged one of the top 10 Marketers,along with well known brands. Bank of Baroda is the only bank finding place in the top 10.  

 Bank of Baroda awarded the Outlook Money NDTV Profit Awards 2007.
"The Outlook Money NDTV Profit Awards 2007" were announced in the Outlook Money Summit held at Mumbai on the 26th October'2007.

Bank of Baroda was awarded the Outlook Money NDTV Profit Awards 2007 under the following two categories :

  • Best Bank in Home Loan category (Amongst all Banks)
  • Runners-up for Best Bank Award (Public Sector category)

    The Awards were received on behalf of the Bank by Dr. Anil K. Khandelwal, Chairman and Managing Director, Bank of Baroda from Shri Jairam Ramesh, Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Commerce.

    The awards are a recognition of the Bank's efforts to continuously innovate, improve and deliver "best value" and the "best-in-class service" to its ever-growing customers. These are also testimony of the Bank's efforts to offer world-class banking experience to its customers around the globe, through innovations in products and services, various customer-centric and technology initiatives, expansion of alternate delivery channels and through improvement in work and organizational processes.

     AMITY Leadership Award for Sectoral Excellence in Banking
    Amity Business School, one of the leading B-schools of the country, conferred Dr. Anil K. Khandelwal, Chairman and Managing Director, Bank of Baroda with the Amity Leadership Award for Sectoral Excellence in Banking on March 22nd 2007 at the Annual Management festival and Research Conference, Endeavour’2007 held at the Amity Business School, NOIDA. Dr. Anil K. Khandelwal received the Award on behalf of the Bank.

    AMITY leadership Awards are instituted by Amity Business School to acknowledge brilliance in the areas of leadership, policy-making, academics, strategy, people, partnerships, corporates, institutions, etc., for exemplary performance and in creating value for all stakeholders.

     SKOCH Challenger Award for Change Management
    Dr.Anil K.Khandelwal, Chairman and Managing Director, Bank of Baroda was awarded the SKOCH Challenger Award for Change Management at the 5th Annual SKOCH summit held in New Delhi on March 16, 2007.

    Dr. C. Rangarajan, Chairman Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India presented the award to Dr.Anil K.Khandelwal.

    The SKOCH Challenger Awards are independently instituted by SKOCH Consultancy services and adjudged to salute best practices.

    Dr.Anil K.Khandelwal, Chairman and Managing Director, was awarded the SKOCH Challenger Award for Change Management in recognition of the multifarious change initiatives unleashed by him in the Bank, which not only changed the Bank’s logo and its outlook but also infused a new dynamism in the Bank and changed the very way the Bank functions.

     IMC Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Award
    Bank of Baroda was awarded the IMC Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Award 2006, certificate of merit in the service category at a function in Mumbai on March 14,2007

    IMC Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Award Criteria instituted since 1996, have been used by hundreds of Indian organizations to stay abreast of ever-increasing competition and to improve performance. The Criteria emphasize: openness and transparency in governance and ethics; the need to create value for customers and the business; and the challenges of rapid innovation and capitalizing on knowledge assets.

    The IMC Quality Awards Committee subjects the Award applicants to a stringent evaluation, short listing and review process through the IMC Quality Cell and a Board of Examiners consisting of quality experts and senior managers from industry, academia, healthcare and consulting organizations.

     SPJIMR Marketing Impact Awards (SMIA) 2007
    Bank of Baroda was declared winner of the prestigious SMIA 2007 award in the Marketing Effectiveness Conclave conducted by S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) on Feb 10, 2007.

    SPJIMR is rated among the top ten Business schools in the country. The institute presents SPJIMR Marketing Impact awards (SMIA) for innovative marketing initiatives that have created significant impact for the organization and the industry.

    The SMIA awards are based on papers submitted by corporates/NGOs on best practices demonstrating marketing impact and effectiveness. The papers /case studies are based on marketing initiatives taken by the organization to successfully solve a business problem or to exploit a market opportunity. Shortlisted Entries for SMIA 2007 were from ITC, Bank of Baroda, HCL and Akanksha Art Workshops.

     The Employer Branding Awards 2007
    The Employer Branding Awards 2007 for excellence in Human Resources was awarded on January 13,2007 to Bank of Baroda in the category of Managing Health at Work.

    The Employer Branding Awards 2007 for excellence in Human Resources have been instituted by the Star of the Industry Awards Foundation in association with Indiatimes and ITM Business School.

    These awards are given to India’s best employers for excellence in various HR areas like Talent Management, HR Strategy, Application of IT in HR, Innovation in recruitment, Innovation in retention strategy, Career development, Managing health of employees and Global HR Strategy.

     Association of Business Communicators of India (ABCI) Awards
    The ABCI is an esteemed organisation constituted by business communication professionals and experts from elite corporate companies for the purpose of encouraging professionals in communication and for upgrading knowledge and skills in the area. In this pursuit, ABCI has instituted awards for various forms of communication.

    Elite Category Award for "Excellence in Marketing and Brand Communication" 2005:

    Bank of Baroda won the prestigious "Elite Category Award" for "Excellence in Marketing and Brand Communication" for 2005 for Bank’s pioneering re-branding exercise and brand communication, among stiff competition from private sector corporates, banks, PSUs. This is a special award given by ABCI to organizations for their excellence in brand and marketing communication.
